This section is a compilation of some of our favorite travel images acquired over the space of fifty years. During my career, I have photographed on several styles and types of cameras including a 4x5 view camera, Hasselblad 2 ¼ x 2 ¼. Mamia RZ 67 2 ¼ x 2 ¾, Nikon 35mm, and Cannon digital. I photographed on negative and transparency materials for over thirty-five years, and personally created most of my finished photographs in a darkroom. The Hasselblad and Nikon cameras lasted me through most of my professional career. I purchased my first Canon Digital camera, shortly after selling Mar Del Photography in the year 2000. Almost two thirds of the images in this section were photographed on either Kodak Ektachrome or Negative film. Only Peru, Egypt, and parts of Mexico were photographed digitally. In the quest for great photographs, equipment is merely a tool. It is not nearly as important as the passion one feels towards the image he is creating.
Books by Dale
I have produced several Blurb photograph books of my favorite photographs. I discovered when my father in law passed away that old photographs are simply put in boxes and stored away. I wanted to have a copy of my favorite images for my posterity to have easy access to once I have moved on.
